WOW.

As many of you may know there are over 1,100 backers of the campaign.  Did you know that half are in The United States and the rest are from all parts of the globe.  What does this tell me?
1. People love these glasses across borders and cultures.
2. I better learn about importation of goods to different countries.
I have been learning about how to get all the glasses to all of my great backers.  It  is complicated, but fascinating as well. I will have multiple distributions centers on 4 continents. Crazy isn't it!!  Something that started as a hobby in my basement is growing into a global company and I owe so much to all of you.  I cannot thank you enough for helping me realize this dream.
Thanks everyone.
Sean
BTW.  If you haven't shared the campaign in a while you should now as I will be 'In Demand' for the next few weeks.  Once I ship to all of you The Sterling 23 will then go to retail pricing.

PRODUCTION UPDATE

Hello to the best backers on the planet.

I know you are all wondering where we are in production and want to know ‘When will I get my flippin’ glasses?’  Trust me I feel you, as the person who has everything riding on this I want you to have them faster than fast.  However, I want them to be the best glasses money can buy.  When I started this journey years ago restoring antique glasses my mantra was ‘quality, quality, quality.’  That remains the same as we go into production on a new line.

As you all know the campaign’s goal was a late September delivery.  Let me be frank, we can’t make that date.  I am in constant communication with the factory and it is our conclusion that we need to push the date toward the end of October to early November.  It should not be later than this.  I am personally travelling to the factory in Shanghai to oversee production and approve the final run.

What I want is the absolute best product for you, not the quickest.  What you want is the best product as well.  If you have been following this journey on our Facebook page you know I will not compromise on quality.

When speaking with my production crew I came to understand that we are a little bit of a victim of our own success.  Originally, I projected a much smaller run and then the campaign really took wing requiring a substantial scale up in production, the production manager cautioned that we take it a little slower as this is the first run and we don’t want any mistakes.  So my revised ship to dates are toward the end of October beginning of November.  Barring unforeseen issues I will keep to this schedule.

I will be posting images and updates from my travel to the factory once I am there.  I am there 10/08-16 at which time we will finalize the run; once the glasses have been produced they will go to my shipment center for disbursement.

As many of you know when crowdfunding it is the production schedule that normally gets revised, had we not been as successful we would not face this slight delay.

SIDENOTE:

In case you weren’t aware the glasses are optical quality meaning you can bring them to your local glasses shop and have prescriptions put in them.

Thanks everyone and onward.

Clarifying,

I will not be fulfilling prescriptions.  What I meant is that you can take them to your optometrist and THEY can fulfill prescriptions for you.
I am just letting you all know they are 'Optical Quality' Frames.  Sorry if I didn't make that clear.
