Hello Everyone.
The first set of 500 has shipped. I didn't get all colors in this past shipment and I shipped the colors I had to the orders as I received them. I sent out bundles and then singles. I sent all over the world.
If you go to the Facebook page you can see images of those who have received them. People are THRILLED with the results. Here are a few things that have been said.
'Got them, love them. Great work!'
'Better quality than my RayBans'
'Ultra premium construction, fantastic design and fit.'
'Amazing craftsmanship and attention to details.'
I have been told by the factory to expect the next shipment within the next 20 days or so. Once I get those I will continue shipping.
You will also see on the O'Riginals website that I am taking orders for June. The June order is for a 2nd run of Sterlings. The Crowdfunders are the first run which is being produced and shipped now.

Shipping
The first 500 pair of Sterlings have begun to ship. You can see on the Facebook fanpage happy backers are sharing images and the general consensus has been 'Great workmanship and worth the wait.' Have a look for yourself. Here.
I also made a quick video on how to fit the glasses to your face, or at least how I do it to mine. You can catch it here on Facebook.

THE FIRST 500 UNITS
What a long, interesting, stressful, fun, infuriating, learning experience this has been. First and foremost I have the best group of backers and it has been your continued faith and private emails of support that has made the tough times a little easier, so a heartfelt Thank You.
The first 500 units have shipped to me. I have DHL tracking numbers and can see them in transit. I don't know what I am going to get until it gets here. I placed a large order and the factory is sending it in pieces for example it could be 50 Green Glass, 100 Silver Sport, 75 BlueRed Sport etc...
I have been advised to ship North America first and then continue to the rest of the world as it would be more 'cost effective' and 'efficient.'
I said "No, that is not how I do business.'
Here is how it is going to work. I am sending in a straight list as it was received through the campaign. If they send me 50 Green Glass I will send to the first 50 on my Green Glass list.
These glasses should start going out to backers within the next 14 days.
This campaign has been challenging enough that I want it also to be fair as I distribute. When I get my next shipment I will continue down the list. If they send me too much of one item and I have fulfilled all backers from that #SKU I will sell the remainder via my website.
For example let's say I have 100 BlueRed Sport orders and they send me 200. I will begin selling the overage of BlueRed for immediate delivery, even if Grey Glass orders are not fulfilled yet. It all comes down to what I get and when I get it. As far as factories are concerned I am still a small fish I don't have much power when it comes to what items are produced first.
Because everyone has been pretty cool all backers are going to get a discount code for future purchase of any models.
I will say I just got my first and final production run samples and they are AMAZING!!! My wife, who is not a huge fan of this style said, "I would be really happy if I backed this campaign and these are the glasses that I got.'
I will to a photoshoot of them this weekend so you will see the final outcome.
Those who have pre-ordered the Eagles, they are now in the process of being sampled and will be coming down the pipe soon.

Due to the amount of backers and not knowing what I am getting each shipment it will be next to impossible to say where you are on any given list.

The factory should be shipping me my first batch of 500 by the end of the week. Once I receive them I will be shipping in the order of backers based on the stock I will have on hand. Then the factory will send me another batch of 500. It is the fastest way I can fulfill the orders.
They sent me several sample pair of glasses which I used to finalize the production, They are beautifully made and are what I have envisioned from the start and have been working so hard to accomplish. The image in this update is what I have been striving for. Just Beautiful!
I have taken one pair. The third off the production and put them into a sweepstakes for backers and fans on my Facebook page. You can click the image below to enter. I hope they will be a collectors item one day!
